Failure tells you, oh well, I couldn't figure this out this time, i need to zig instead of zag. Sometimes getting the feedback gives us alternatives to understand who we are and gives us the opportunity for a better choice.

It’s no secret that life will chip away at our confidence, angling for that one weak spot in our armor. Whether it's a passing comment that sticks or a wave of doubt that temporarily clouds our judgment, it's inevitable. What truly defines a rockstar, though, is resilience. It's about the strength to ask when rocked, "What can I do better?" It’s the unwavering belief in the face of struggles. 

Less and less shakes the foundation of real rockstar confidence, as time goes on. Wisdom weathers the spirit, honing the ability to decipher meaningful feedback from background noise. The consideration of feedback’s source becomes pivotal, and we have to ask ourselves: Is it a lover’s quarrel worth mending? Or a stranger’s jibe worth ignoring? It’s about #discernment, knowing when to hold firm to your script, and when to edit a line or two.

Navigating the dynamics of such criticism, especially in the workplace, is likened to walking a tightrope. There’s a need for #balance between staying true to oneself and adapting to meet common goals. How does one preserve that “fire in the belly” without scorching bridges or, conversely, letting it be doused by the cold waters of compromise? The answer lies in consistently #showingup  as well as showing up #authentically.

For every #rockstar, a moment comes when one must stare into the mirror and declare, “I am not for everybody, and that’s okay.”

This chat with Chris was more than a chat between friends; it's a roadmap for anyone seeking to cultivate a rockstar-like confidence in a world that often demands #perfection.
